January. Is. Eating. Me. Alive.
Now I know why people complain so much about junior year. Here's a small taste of this month's to do list:
Forgive me if this all comes out like garbling all of my thoughts unnecessarily, but I figured I should get it down somewhere to prevent myself from dying of stress or when I inevitably forget about one of these things...it always helps to write it down.
That aside, I guess it's my lame excuse for the real stall in posting. I miss all of you bunches. Some of you may have read that my friend Annie recently said good-bye to blogging, which I totally understand and have considered BUT I blog for a reason and so hopefully I'll be able to hold on to that reason through all of this craziness.
Ergh. I'm no good at expressing myself.
With that in mind, I really want to thank you guys for sticking with me, even if things have been a bit iffy lately. I really hate feeling like I haven't been doing the blog justice recently, but once the insanity dies down I'm hoping to put out posts that I can be proud of again.
So, since we all need a break sometimes, I'm going to use this post as an opportunity to throw a ton of pictures your way. Allow yourself to get lost in them. Forget about stress for at least a little while. Isn't escapism what fashion is all about, anyways?

Now I know why people complain so much about junior year. Here's a small taste of this month's to do list:
-continue research for thesis paper

-read a book for APUSH
-do SAT practice tests until I can get a 2400 without batting an eye on the stupid thing
-read Huckleberry Finn and random Nathaniel Hawthorne stories as pre-course work for my American Authors course by the time second semester starts
-write 4 essays on the above reading
-STUDY FOR MIDTERMS (= figure out what the frick I'm doing in physics)
-learn Western Regionals music for next weekend
-learn all-states audition song
-prepare an audition tape for this choir I'm dying to perform in
-figure out an audition song for spring musical auditions

Lovely, lovely pictures!
ReplyDeletegood luck with that insane schedule! junior year was tough. the first real year the pressure to do your best so you looked okay on college applications came about. but you sound like you have your head on straight :)
ReplyDeleteEveryone does say that junior year is the toughest, but then they say that senior year is an absolute joke. So I guess if the first one is true, maybe the second one will be true? Hopefully, because going from that insane of a schedule to an even MORE insane schedule would just be inhumane D: Good luck with it all though, I'm sure we all understand how tough it can be to keep up with all blog-related things on top of everything else. But anyways, gorgeous pictures, and I especially love the tree - magnificent! Have a great week (:
ReplyDeletewow, that's a looong list. I'm sorry. :(
ReplyDeletejunior year is *not* a good time... glad you're still blogging, though. good luck with all those essays!
ReplyDeletegood luck with school! you've got a lot going on!
ReplyDeletetake it one step at a time .. dont think about everything in one big list .. jsut set aside time for two things in one day for example ... but yeah its crazy .
ReplyDeletealso i hate hucklberry finn . pretty boring
Good luck with everything on your to do list and don't let blogging become burdensome. Remember why you enjoy it and your readers will be here when you have time :)
ReplyDeletewow, and I'm complaining about January just because it's cold... :D
ReplyDeletei love the movement in these images. best of luck this month!
ReplyDeleteYou'll get through it!
ReplyDeleteFor your international readers, what age is junior year? xx
we're in the same league, dear. i'm not good at expressing myself either, so i do it in my blog instead :)
ReplyDeletei'm sure you'll get through all of them and make the best of it.
i find the pictures really inspiring too. my favorites are the first one, the three, and the woman in the boat. the latter is so fairytale-istic and impressive. makes me want to sink there soon!
Uhmmmm your schedule is creepily similar to mine...are you sure we aren't the same person? Thank goodness I do not have a physics midterm. I would fail. I just had All county auditions. So that's a relief. :)

That's a lot to do! Junior year felt like such a relief when it was over for me, after all the APs and NYSSMA stuff to do and the SAT and ACT. But senior year is nice, college applications are a bit stressful but nothing compared to junior year, at least in my experience. Good luck with everything!
ReplyDeleteholy shit. so i would start on that..
ReplyDeleteimma SECOND SEMESTER SENIOR HEYY! but no. my teacher's dont do that apparently and have piled us excessively with work to do. sigh.
Im sure youll wind up doing fine, good luck. and I've gone through periods where i just didnt feel like blogging at all (hello end of last semester) but it was just a funk, im sure you'll be back in the mood soon. Good luck, just don't stress it.
